Our two-day Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater safari package was designed to offer visitors with time constraints a short, but very intense, Tanzanian Northern Circuit wildlife safari experience. You will experience the excitement of an African wildlife safari. This unforgettable African safari tour will take you to the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park.
We pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or the airport at 08:00 am and drive 120km on a tarmac road to Tarangire National Park. We explore the 2,850 sq km (1,005 sq miles) park on game drives. We will have a picnic lunch, thereafter we continue the game drive. The park is home to lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, pythons, zebra, oryx, impala, and many more. Over 450 species of birds have been observed here. Our dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge near Karatu village.
Accommodation: Fanaka Safaris, Campsites & LodgesAfter breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. On the eastern side, you will see the Great Rift Valley where animals like elephant, buffalo, zebra, rhino, monkey, and a variety of birds, can be observed.
Thousands of colorful flamingoes and a variety of waterbirds can be seen along the lakeshore or filling the skies as they take flight. Predators such as leopard, cheetah, hyena, and lots of members of the antelope family, as well as other small mammals, can also be found. In the late afternoon, you will leave the crater and drive back to Arusha. This is where your safari will end.
