On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and after customs and immigration formalities, you will be met by our representative who will drive you to Arusha City which is the safari capital of Tanzania. It is located beneath the peak twins of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Arusha is a major international diplomatic hub. Arusha is your gateway to the safari adventures that can be found on the famed northern circuit. Arusha is a dynamic and bustling city where Africa and the west collide in a dizzying, fascinating fusion. With a domestic airport (Arusha) and an international airport (Kilimanjaro), it's also the perfect place to launch your adventures to Dar es Saalam, Zanzibar, or even neighboring countries such as Rwanda, Kenya, or Uganda. The city is the capital of the East Africa Community and also houses the East Africa Court of Justice, located in the northern highlands of Tanzania. Your overnight stay will be at the karibu heritage house Lodge.

You will have breakfast at the hotel. Drive west of Arusha and on to Lake Manyara National Park with splendid views of the Great Rift Valley wall. Your first encounter will probably be spotting large troupes of baboons. The park is famous for its tree-climbing Lions. You will visit Lake Manyara, an alkaline soda Lake which is home to an incredible array of birdlife that thrives on its brackish waters. Pink flamingoes stoop and graze by the thousands of colorful specks against the grey minerals of the lakeshore. Yellow-billed storks swoop and corkscrew on thermal winds rising up from the escarpment, and herons flap their wings against the sun-drenched sky. Even reluctant birdwatchers will find something to watch and marvel at within the national park. Hippos can also be spotted. You will have packed lunch served at a picnic site. Late in the afternoon, continue with a short drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Dinner and your overnight at campsite.

After an early breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on to Serengeti National Park with game viewing en route. Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequaled for its natural beauty and scientific value. It has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile-infested river can hold them back. Serengeti is truly home to the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration. Late in the afternoon, drive back to the camping site for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, drive out of the Serengeti and on to Ngorongoro Crater for a game viewing drive. This is a good day to look for the Big Five, lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as an ‘eighth Wonder of the World. The Crater has achieved world renown, attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors each year. You are unlikely to escape other vehicles here, but you are guaranteed great wildlife viewing in a genuinely mind-blowing environment. There is nowhere else in Africa quite like Ngorongoro! It's one of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros, the park is home to the entirety of the Big Five. It is also a particularly good place to see lions and Cape buffalo year-round. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Later, drive to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we'll depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet. It is home to Tanzania's largest population of elephants. Tarangire is the best place to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat—from the adorable calves all the way up to the intimidating bulls. After lunch, drive back to Arusha.
